Why Vote?
Democracy does not implement itself, nor does it remain strong and healthy without underlying values and a firm will apply and enforce them.
Democracy is much more than holding elections; however, free, and fair elections are one of its fundamental conditions.
Voting in elections is one of the most basic expressions of our political opinions. Which is only one element of democratic engagement, it is often the first activity we think of when it comes to maintaining our democracy. But why vote?
1. Elections have consequences. Every vote matters.
2. It's your right. Not voting means giving up your voice.
3. Voting is an opportunity for change.
4. The community depends on you!
Voting is good for your well-being. People who vote are more likely to be active in their community, to talk to their neighbors, and to volunteer, all of which contribute to overall well-being.
Please feel free to reach out to our Membership Co-Chair Shemar Barnes 204-298-2253 for more information on membership as well as share this communication with family and friends.
